As a reputable digital agency in automotive industy, in 2012, Poligon Interactive were selected as social media agency for Suzuki Turkey. We were given the task of creating the “Suzuki Turkey social media presence” for which the importance was under estimated at that time. We have had several meetings with the top level management including sales directors and the general manager. Together with the client, we tried to develop overall social media strategies, designed and implemented listening and responding programmes, advised on crisis planning. As their social media agency, we helped Suzuki Turkey engage in social media by having meaningful conversations with people and igniting positive word of mouth.
To start with, we created Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and Youtube accounts for Suzuki Turkey. Although we have had single accounts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube, to help the SEO strategy, it was no surprise to find out that we need to establish separate Google+ pages for each of Suzuki’s areas of activity, namely automobile, motorcycles and marine.
We have developed a content plan where we actively search and create content alternatives for the brand. However, social media management is not only content creation and posting. We have the user interactions. Knowing that the age of deference is over and people are talking about brands at all hours of every day in countless forms of social media; our moderation team monitors the accounts 7/24 for comments and spam actions. Thanks to our social media management guide we have co-created with Suzuki, we deal with user interactions in a systematic manner.
